Tempo contacted Tara Martin today and here is what she said:

(NOTE: This was actually written by Karen Lynn Gorney who played Tara Martin on AMC in the 70's.)

Folks have really changed since I grew up in Pine Valley-I like Oregon (where I am now, getting my divorce from Jim Jefferson-my third husband) it sort of reminds me of the old Pine Valley. More like a small town. More old fashion homes, fire places, and simple pleasures like eating popcorn and trying to see the future in the flames. Staying home. Relating to your family. Now, I'm painting and trying to get what Jim owes me- but it is a losing battle. He doesn't want to give me anything, and he has been hiding a lot of assests... So I'm fighting it and won't let go until my lawyer wins! Occassionally I sell a painting. But it is not easy. He has taken everything. I miss my father Joe Martin, and my brothers,Tad and Jake, and my step mom Ruth-- I don't know where my daughter Kelsey is- most of all I miss my GRANDSON (Kelsey's child by Bobby out of wedlock) who was being was raised by Edmund and Maria. In the old Pine Valley, this never would have happened. I would have raised that child! Families used to stick together. It's different world today. I like the old one better.
